What is Nest Hunt?

Garena’s launch announcement introduces Nest Hunt as a way to challenge monsters across different difficulty levels. That is the confirmed definition used here. It distinguishes the mode from Arena’s equal-condition competition.

The announcement does not establish a complete international unlock schedule, number of difficulty tiers, daily entry allowance or reward table. Those details should come from the current mode panel for your version. This guide focuses on choosing a challenge and improving your preparation without presenting an unverified progression chart.

How to choose a Nest Hunt difficulty

Use the lowest available difficulty that still teaches you something about the encounter. First establish that you can recognize the target’s attacks and recover when an opening ends. Move upward after you can repeat a clear without depending on an unusually lucky sequence.

A failed run can reveal different problems. If you are repeatedly hit during a familiar attack, improving its response is a more useful next step than immediately changing every part of the roster. If your execution is stable but the run still falls short, compare the encounter requirements with your available equipment and kit options.

What you observeNext experimentWhy it helps
You cannot reliably read the opening attacksRepeat the familiar difficulty with the same kitReduces the number of changing variables
Your attacks regularly miss the chosen target areaAdjust position and camera useTests whether lost uptime is the limiting factor
A resource-based kit feels inconsistentPractice its resource loop before increasing difficultyMakes mistakes easier to identify
A clear is repeatable and comfortableTry the next available difficultyGives the harder encounter a meaningful baseline
Field note

This is a suggested decision process, not a hidden difficulty formula or a claim about exact monster scaling.

Before entering the nest

  • Read the displayed target and encounter conditions. Do not infer a modifier from a different monster or a pre-release guide.
  • Choose an Adventurer you can control consistently. A high recruitment ranking does not prove familiarity with that kit.
  • Review the weapon’s resource or follow-up mechanic. The official roster shows that different Adventurers can change the rhythm of the same weapon type.
  • Check your selected control mode. Switching from Adventure to Classic immediately before a harder encounter adds a second learning task.
  • For any group queue the current mode offers, agree on the exact version and target with your party. The international launch FAQ says players on different regional servers cannot team together.
  • Read the reward display before committing resources. Distinguish a first-clear reward, a repeat reward and an event objective if the interface lists them.

A useful routine for your first three attempts

A note such as “I spent my resource just before the target moved away” is more actionable than “my Adventurer is too low tier.” A specific observation tells you whether to change timing, position or preparation. It also helps avoid spending scarce resources on an upgrade that does not address the problem.

  1. Attempt one: learn what ends your run. Keep a simple note about the attack or situation that causes the largest loss of control.
  2. Attempt two: change one response to that situation. Keep the same difficulty and most of the setup unchanged.
  3. Attempt three: assess whether the change made the clear more repeatable. Keep an effective adjustment or test another specific cause.

If the target is a Radiant monster

The official website describes Radiant species as distinct Aesoland variants, with traits such as enhanced mobility, stronger flames or altered uses of Radiantite. The reviewed profiles include Radiant Rathian, Anjanath, Diablos, Kulu-Ya-Ku and Rathalos.

If your selected encounter uses one of these targets, read its current description and observe the moves actually present. Do not assume the ordinary species’ behavior is a complete guide to the Radiant version. We do not claim that every Radiant species appears in every Nest Hunt difficulty.

Unlock levels, drops and farming efficiency

A reliable farming recommendation needs the current entry cost, clear conditions, repeat rewards and your own success rate. The launch summary alone does not supply those numbers. We do not name an “optimal farming difficulty” without them.

Compare the reward shown for the difficulty with how consistently you can finish it. A harder option that fails often may be a poor choice for a limited session. Keep the distinction between a first-time objective and a repeatable material source when the game presents both. For your next decision, use the weapons guide to understand the kit and the Arena guide to understand why that other mode requires a separate evaluation.
